Water, Water Everywhere!

One warm California evening my dad was refilling the pool. Apparently he does this every few days or so since water evaporates and then the filter doesn't work as well. Ahh, that pesky water cycle. (Am I the only one who finds it fascinating? I wish I could remember the song..."evaporation, condensation, precipitation...")

So here is what I imagine Josh is thinking to himself....

"Hmmm, somebody left this perfectly good hose running in the pool. Maybe I should check it out."
(Notice that Zoe, one of my mother's papillons, is so desperate for someone to play Frisbee with her that she is willing to risk drowning by at least two different methods. Besides, who doesn't love the smell of wet dog?)

"I think I will just put my hand in the water to check the temperature. We wouldn't want the pool getting too cold."

"Watch out world. This thing is loaded!"
(Notice where the dogs are now.)

While five of us adults were just watching this waste of resources and doing nothing other than snapping pictures, I realized there are photographs of me doing something like this at a similar age to Josh. I ended up considerably more wet. Thanks to Mom and Dad for allowing your yard to flood and your water bill to spike in the pursuit of deeper aquatic knowledge...twice.

This totally reminds me of the pictures of you playing with the hose in the cute blue overalls and red shirt. Those are some of my favorite pictures of you as a kid. Love you!
