How's that for a mouthful? When we were in California, we went to the above mentioned place (or the TBDSC for short...). OK I made that up but even the acronym is long. Still, this place had some really cool interactive science exhibits. Josh (and Jason) were in heaven. I had a really good time too. I got to lay on a bed of nails. We have photographic evidence of this but I'm too vain to put it online. I try to avoid full-body shots at all costs. Hey, I just had a baby...um, five months ago. Here are the more pleasant pictures.

Josh is hypnotized by this vortex thing. There was some brief scientific explanation on a plaque nearby of what was occurring but I was having too much fun watching Josh.

There were these cool tables with sand and water in them. You could build dams and simulate erosion and stuff. Notice how Jason dug right in. He was worried whether the dam sand would hold or not. (I know, adolescent humor...but I couldn't resist).

The funny part is that as soon as Carolyn read the "dam sand" part she turned to me and said, "I miss the Petersons". I guess that says something about us too. :)
Looks like you guys had so much fun! It was so great to see you & Jason and your sweet kids! We miss you all already! Come back soon!!!
