The day we traveled to my parents' house in California, my dad completed a triathlon in Provo. (Yes, that means the swimming part was in Utah Lake, a lake of a somewhat suspect nature. Everyone seems to grimace when they talk about it. He seems not to have suffered any ill effects, yet.) This was only Dad's second triathlon. He was sick for his first one and didn't do as well as he wanted. Not so in Provo! He completed the triathlon with a stunning time of 3:09, thirty minutes faster than the goal he set for himself. And good enough to win his age group. So they gave him the fancy medal you see in the picture. He posed with said medal, his wetsuit and a big smile for Jason that night. Yes, that's right. After his impressive triathlon performance he drove the ten hours back to Los Angeles so he could be there when we arrived. That makes him a SUPERHERO in our book! We love you Dad!

Wow!!! I always knew that your Dad was amazing but I had no idea he was a triathelete! Way to go President Stewart!
It's kind of funny that our 50+ dad is the best athlete in the family. We are all proud of him. It's also nice to know that we'll have him around for awhile since he is so healthy. Wish him luck for his next traithlon next weekend.
