Easter Party

Today was a much better day than yesterday. We started off with homemade chocolate chip waffles fixed by Jason and the kids. Yum! In between sessions of Conference, which was wonderful, we went to a Easter/Birthday Party at a friends' home. With homemade tamales, salsa, and virgin mojitos plus lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, it was definitely not your traditional Easter meal. But it was dee-licious! Followed up with Carmelitas and Easter candy it was perfect. I was stuffed! It was a beautiful day and the kids had a great time hunting for Easter eggs; although, they gave up the hunting part once they discovered what was in the eggs. Candy! All in all, I felt so grateful for cherished friends who make holidays and birthdays so much better when all your extended family lives on the West coast. I'll post more pictures tomorrow when I'm less tired but for now, here's a shot of Jane and Josh devouring their loot.
