Jane Goes Mobile

Most of you know by now that Jane broke her leg last week. She had an unfortunate incident on a trampoline. I wasn't watching her and she climbed up on the trampoline with her brother and another boy. Without going into all the details, she broke her tibia and fibula and will be in a cast for 5 weeks. She's taking it all like a champ and enjoyed a few days of resting on the couch with her leg propped on a pillow while watching all the TV she could stand. That didn't last long though and Jane decided to stretch her legs, or her leg to be more exact.

First we laid her on the floor so she could play a game with Daddy and Josh.

 

She soon took up crawling and other forms of locomotion. This little bum scoot is my favorite.

 

In no time she was off and running so to speak and getting into mischief. Last night Jason went to check on her because we heard her crying after we had put her to bed. When he didn't find her in her bed, he nervously searched for her and found her resting in our bed. She had wanted to sleep with Mommy. And today while I was taking a shower I heard an intermittent thudding sound coming up the stairs. Either a pirate with a peg leg was stalking me or Jane had decide to attempt climbing our hardwood stairs. Once again she was looking for Mommy. Noticing a theme? And she's pretty equal opportunity when it comes to seeking out her parents. Here she is climbing under Daddy's chair in the office. She's a very determined child.

 

She finally got all tuckered out tonight and we put her in bed. Hopefully she stays there.
