Daddy's Home

Jason recently took a new position at work and that has meant longer days and more trips out of town. We sure miss him when he's gone. The kids always ask me repeatedly where he is and enjoy mentioning him in our prayers and trying to say the strange names of places he's at like Utah and Connecticut. Jason is such a kind and loving father. One of my favorite things to watch is the bedtime ritual in which the kids keep bringing books to Daddy to read to them. Jane likes to snuggle up with Daddy (and pick her nose sometimes) and Josh has his own style of listening as you can see. I think Jason enjoys this time too because he keeps telling the kids, "We're just going to read one more." But then the kids bring over another book, asking for another "one more" and he concedes. I remember doing this with my dad too. He was a really busy guy so when he sat down at night to read to us, I was thrilled. It was such a special time and I'm glad my kids have that now too. Lucky ducks!
