Today Jane had her Early Intervention Evaluation to determine if she was eligible for any services like speech or physical therapy due to developmental delays. After a 45 minute appointment, the doctor told us he was very encouraged. He said he saw NO signs of autism in Jane. We were thrilled! He said there was still a very slight chance she might develop the disorder in the next 6 months but that this was very unlikely. The doctor was really pleased with what he saw and said sometimes things just click into place all of a sudden for a child. I could see he was trying to explain this miracle to himself using his clinical knowledge. Later, when the evaluation was over, our Early Intervention Coordinator, Karen, said she was amazed at how much progress Jane had made in just a little over a month. I told her Jane had a lot of people praying for her. I know this is what helped Jane. I firmly believe in the power of prayer. We are so grateful to everyone who prayed for our precious little girl. Please let us know if we can ever pray for any of you for anything.

Here's a recent picture of our baby girl who has recently discovered a love for oatmeal. She absolutely refuses to eat with a spoon or to let me feed her. There is a stubborn streak in this child that makes me smile and at the same time makes me a little nervous.

We are so excited to hear this fantastic news, we love both your kids and hope this knowledge makes your lives a little bit easier. Thank goodness for prayer. As for that stubborn streak, we'll still hang out with ya jane-jane, you'll be in good company, can't be anything too horrible if she likes oatmeal! :)
Fabulous news!
She's gorgeous, even with all that oatmeal all over her face.
Wahoo! She looks adorable with food all over her face. :)
I am so happy for you guys! Sweet little Jane, we were and will continue to pray for you! The oatmeal picture is adorable!
