27 Years and Counting...Down

This is a picture of our house as we first saw it, a little over 3 years ago. We've made some changes since we've moved in, improvements really, and this post is part of a series of posts dedicated to Jason for all the hard work he has done.

The picture below was taken this spring. Notice how much better the grass is doing. Jason has worked hard, mowing, fertilizing and even aerating our lawn. I tried mowing the lawn once. I didn't finish and several hours later my palms were still vibrating, I had the beginnings of a callous because I forgot to take off my wedding ring, and a new found appreciation for my husband. Jas, thanks for all the hard work you do in our nearly 1 acre yard. Here are some pictures of your labors.

Jason has planted lots of beautiful bulbs. He adds a few more each year and I can't wait until next spring.

This year he built these garden pyramids to help our climbing plants grow. I believe there were six in all.

Jason lovingly tends to this beautiful little Japanese maple that was given to us by our great friends, the McGreevys. This is the way its leaves looked this fall.

When it comes to yard work, Jas, you are my hero.

great yard! After we moved her my kids asked "where's Jeff?" He was the yard guy at the condo we lived in before becoming our own care takers - We really miss Jeff!
GO JASON!

That looks awesome! Great job Jason! Meg - we are like two peas in a pod. Your post about lawn mowing cracked me up. I have mowed our yard once and it was the only lawn I mowed. We don't have an acre but we have 1/2 of one and my hands were shaking too. Don't get me started on the weed whacker (my whole arm vibrated for a couple hours after I was done!) HA!
